I
wish I had the remote commander for my Sony DSC-F828 camera. I had a hellish
time taking pictures of the fireworks on the evening of 3rd July 2004. It was
the eve of Independence Day celebrations for the US military contingent that
were housed opposite my place. There was a 20 minutes fireworks display and
here are the highlights.
We made our rounds around Chinatown just before the Chinese
New Year. I had the newly-acquired Sony DSC F828 to shoot with and came out
with this montage of pictures. Click on the picture to be re-directed to the
world of the new 8 megapixel Purple Machine.Doreen's
Minolta A1 was also out on the prowl.
I was the photographer at Aunt Rosa and Uncle Simon's 60th Wedding Anniversary
last year (Aug 2003). This is the link to their 60th Wedding Anniversary page.
The pictures here were taken with the Sony DSC F707 and HVL-F1000 flash.
The
new Sony DSC F828 made a wonderful companion, albeit a wee bit purplish as
reminded by most CA experts out there. Since its acquisition on 8 Jan 2004,
I have been taking quite a few shots with the thingy. Here is a small gallery
from the camera's first night outing. More outing has been scheduled for my
Purple Machine in the coming weeks.
So
the Chinese New Year arrived. On the first day of the New Year, Doreen's BIG
brother KC and his family graced our house with their presence. We have some
pictures of the Tan family enroute to Sembawang via the MRT.
The
second day of the New Year was a total washout! It rained from morning till
the next day. Yet, we had some marvellous visitors.
Saturday
24th Jan 2004 was the third day of the Chinese New Year a throng of young
Red Cross volunteer instructors came a-calling. Some were really familiar
faces, some old faces and some newbies. They really made themselves "at
home"...trust me. See the pictures to believe !
One
month after Christmas was the 4th day of the Lunar New Year and the bandwagon
moved on to Rachael and Donald's place in Ponggol. I snapped about a hundred
pictures there and here are 50 of them.
The gang had an outing at Kent Ridge and Labrador Parks on 1 Feb 2004. It was followed by a visit to the out-of-the-way fish and pet farm in far-away Pasir Ris. You can also check out Doreen's pictures at her site.
